Our project
NutriNeuro, led by Lucile Capuron since 2022, is a research unit in neuroscience and nutrition with 80 members. It studies the relationship between nutrition and the brain to prevent neurodegenerative and neuropsychiatric diseases. The research uses integrated and translational approaches, relying on innovative devices and technological platforms from the University of Bordeaux. The expertise covers various disciplines such as behavioral neuroscience, biochemistry, and psychiatry.
The impact of the research is significant, generating scientific knowledge and innovations in nutrition and medicine. The laboratory is organized into three teams: NutriPsy, NutriMind, and Food Circus, each exploring different aspects of nutrition’s influence on the brain. NutriNeuro collaborates with numerous national and international partners and is actively involved in research training, hosting doctoral students and interns.
